What is today? Thursday?
I haven’t completely lost track of normal life yet, but I’m close.
We’re driving from Asheville, North Carolina to Macon, Georgia now for our second show of the week.
Last night was our first show without Shane, the tour manager that is phasing out and phasing me in. He’s been a great help, and because of that, yesterday went pretty smooth.
My guitar tech, Aaron, and I are getting pretty good at doing what we need to do in a timely manner. It’ll only get quicker from here.
This week will be our longest week for a while with five-straight shows. But being in the warmer weather during February makes it worth it.
After Macon, we do three shows in Florida before spending a few days relaxing in Tampa. Maybe I’ll get some golf in!
So far, this job is totally worth it. There are some annoying things… I spent a good amount of time Monday night cleaning my shoes only for them to get all muddy the next day while loading my merch into the trailer.
I was steaming while doing that, but I got over it pretty quick. Once we got rollin’ down south, all the anger went away!
One of my favorite things so far is when we’re leaving the venue. After loading and hitting the road, we just get a move on to our hotel for the night.
There’s no analysis for the night. Not much discussion of the show at all. Just five friends driving in a van together.
Things like that make it feel like a vacation more than a job.
Speaking of vacation, we’re on our way to Florida now. See ya next week!
Sounds like a preset sweet gig Dylan. Enjoy the time! I was looking at the tour stops and looks like you guys are all over the country.
Hey when you get a chance stop at your local WM and give some directive to D94 folks😂😂😂
